Mexican Independence Day is one of our favorite holidays here in the Yucatan. The city is decorated with flags, kids are off from school to participate in parades, and everyone is cooking "comida typica"...how could you NOT love a holiday like that?
This year at our church we did not hire a mariachi nor did we have a "street party" as we did last year; however, we still met the evening of the 15th as a church family for singing, fellowship...and of course...FOOD! The children of the church participated in a costume contest and both Tori and Tyler won a prize this year much to their excitement. We had a grea
t turnout and the spirit of the church was typical of a fiesta. When the evening finished, TnT were already planning 
next year's costumes...Viva Mexi
